Tartinery

03-17 Tartinery
The north-eastern corner of our lunching map is seeing a slew of new restaurants, so of course we have to try them all. First was Pulino's on Monday, just now we had tartines at Tartinery and this Friday we plan on checking out Hecho en Dumbo. Today's lunch was spatially marvelous, we watched sunlight seeping into the 2-story, cellar level dining room of exposed brick and black cage mesh. From a culinary point of view, the tartines were enjoyable but not fantastic. A bit pricey, no doubt bread from Poilane's has something to do with that, but that's not deterring the blossoming lunch crowd. We'll probably head back one day to try some of the other tartines, but probably not any time soon.
